Shims

Chemical Milled Shims

Chemical milled ( CM ) shims are precision components used in various industries to achieve exact tolerances and alignments. CM can produce shims with very thin thicknesses, often starting from around 0.005 mm (5 micrometers), depending on the material and process parameters.

Material We Use

Chemical Milled Shims are typically made from thin metal sheets. Common materials include:

Stainless Steel

As thin as 0.005 mm (5 micrometers)

Aluminum

Can be made as thin as 0.01 mm (10 micrometers) to 0.5 mm

Copper

Typically can be produced in thicknesses as low as 0.01 mm (10 micrometers) to 1.0 mm

Brass

Generally available in thicknesses starting from around 0.01 mm (10 micrometers) to 1.5 mm

Advantage of

Chemical Milled ( CM ) Shims

Rennovate Rooms

Precision

The CM process allows for the creation of highly detailed and precise shims with tight tolerances.
Rennovate Rooms

Complex Shapes

Capable of producing complex geometries and designs that might be difficult with traditional machining methods.
Rennovate Rooms

Minimal Waste

CM generates minimal material waste compared to traditional machining techniques.
Rennovate Rooms

Adaptability:

Suitable for applications requiring both high thermal and electrical conductivity.

Applications of Chemical milled Copper , Stainless steel , Brass & Aluminium

The CM process allows for high precision and can produce very thin, intricate parts with tight tolerances, which makes it ideal for applications where exact measurements and alignments are critical.
